June 3,2017:
Boss has been officially adopted as of today, 22 May by a big, loving family! Boss was HW positive and on death row at ACAS. Raising Aid for Dogs At Risk - RADAR Dogs helped raise money for his treatment and Shelter Animals Advocates The Heartbeat Goes On rescued him and treated him for heartworms. This gentle giant hit the jackpot with his new home! He has three new fur siblings, Teensie, Belle, and Beau. He also has two new human siblings! The older, Kyia, is going to be in charge of taking care of this sweet boy, and we think she'll do a great job! She's a very mature and special girl that plans on opening her own animal sanctuary one day! Yay! Let the heart beat on!
Hooray! Haddiewas adopted Friday 05 May (AKA Cinco de Mayo)!
Haddie was heartworm positive and on death row. Raising Aid for Dogs At Risk - RADAR Dogs offered to help pay for her treatment and Shelter Animals Advocates The Heart Beat Goes On campaign pulled her and treated her for heartworms. This sweet girl went into a foster to adopt home to make sure she and her new kitty fur-sister would get along. They quickly became the best of friends and her new mom and dad made it official! Her new birthday is now and forever Cinco de Mayo! How neat is that?
:)
Yay! Let the heart beat on!
4-29-17: Fantastic news!! As of today, 29 April, our sweet girl Treasure has FINALLY been adopted! This poor angel has had the toughest time. She spent the first year and a half of her life chained under a house, she spent the next 6 months at ACAS waiting for her court case to finish....then she tested HW positive! We had two rescues interested in her, but they backed out at the last minute, leaving us to figure out what to do with her. We at Shelter Animals Advocates started our loca l adoption program because of Treasure (and another Bully baby Flo). She was in our rescue for over a year waiting and getting passed over because she is a plain brown dog. She thought she had a home last year, but her adoptive mom returned her because she couldn't handle two dogs. Treasure came back to us and waited for another few months. Finally, her family put in an application! It was love at first sight! Yay! It's days like this that make it all worth it! Look at how happy she is!! Let the heart beat on!
4-29-17: Asher (now Mittens)(the BIG boy on the far right) has been officially adopted as of today, 29 April! Mittens was HW positive at ACAS. Shelter Animals Advocates The Heartbeat Goes On rescued him and treated him for heartworms. This gentle giant hit the jackpot with his new home! He has two new fur sisters, Scarlett (the little old lady on left) and Rue (a SAA HeartBeat alum). We love when our adopters come back for seconds! Yay! Let the heart beat on!
